Motherhood...it's a lovely experience...most days!

God knows what He is doing!

 

Lord, I pray that you continue to work in me that I may be who Tamya needs me to be for her...a mother, an understanding person (not a friend lol), and protector. Amen!

As she continues to prove to the school with her test scores that she should stay in the Talented And Gifted class, I hope she will continue to focus and find out what her interests are.

Matt loves to help when it's laundry time!  He puts the dryer sheet in and throws in the clothes next.  When    we'rer done, he starts clapping.   He is so funny!!

Matt is finally saying "ma".  That's about all I can get for right now! lol

a promise is a promise

Saturday evening I promised Mikey I would take him to Chuck E Cheese since I wasn't up to do the camp-in at church. I was really in a stressed mood and wanted some time alone with Mike.  We eneded up going Tuesday night.  I was able to snap some pics with my phone. All in all it was a nice break from homeowrk, school, homework, school....

 

Reset, Reset, reset...again!

It's been weeks of hit and miss schedules, activities, just about anything I tried to get right!   The kids are really becoming their own person these days. 

• Tamya scored Advanced on the state assessment tests for math!
• Mikey is doing excellent in school, knows how to tie his shoelaces (buts never wants to)
• Mattie...he is a different story!...He's doing everything except saying my favorite word "mama". He's on to "ma" but that's about it.

Last week, we enrolled Tamya and Mikey into an after school karate program.  Why didn't someone FORCE me into this a LONG time ago!  I've RESET for the last time!

 

I had a tramatic experience with Tamya thinking she's "grown".  They've been in the program a full week now and the home life has been great!  Every room is clean and homework is complete!

I've experienced stress free days like I have never before! We were definitely overworking ourselves and putting too much on Tamya.    I've been able to slow down, plan activities, and downtime for us.

 

 

My main focus is to slow down and enjoy my kids and huband! Here's to the start of a "new" year!
