Motherhood...it's a lovely experience...most days!

What a grateful Thanksgiving we had!

The mini vacation started with a "Thanksgiving-Pre Christmas clean up".  lol   While Mike went to pick up my mother, younger brother and sister, I got the kids ready and we started on the craft for the table.

Boy, did we eat!  We relaxed for a while, then headed out to the stores for Black Friday.  Friday, I went to some more stores with my mom, sis, and brother.  Saturday, Mike, my brother and sister, the kids except Matthew, went to church.  More relaxing afterwards! My mom cooked dinner.  Sunday, we relaxed and my mom cooked dinner. :)  Lots of cooking and relaxing.  It was awesome to spend time with them.   

I was thankful for the kids until yesterday....back to school! lol!

Moving back to Typepad

I don't like the one picture option over at Cozi, it's no fun. So I'm moving back to Typepad. lol

Excellent mini-vacation!

What a weekend I had! Friday night, we observed the Sabbath. Saturday, we headed to church. After service, we went to Olive Garden with my mom, brother Wayne and sister Annette (both home from Oakwood University). We then went back to our place and everyone took naps. Sunday, my mom cooked dinner, went to my fav store Ikea, and ate together in the evening. What a relaxing enjoyable time with my mom, brother and sister! I had a great time at church with Mike. we'll be going together every Saturday!! :) Thank you Lord!!

Last Tuesday, I arrived home to see a yellow flower in my wedding glass...a gift from Mikey! It made my night! He's so sweet!! :)

Weekend with the kids

For the first time in a long time last weekend we spent each day with the kids. Friday night, we watched Beezus and Ramona. It was a very good movie. (Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby is a girl who has to endure the antics of her imaginative younger sister, Ramona Quimby. She is given the nickname Beezus by Ramona because the latter could not say Beatrice when she first learned to talk. Beezus is frequently annoyed or embarrassed by Ramona's behavior throughout the story). We watched a movie instead of observing the Sabbath. SMH ant myself. Saturday evening, I took Tamya and Mikey with me to see Oakwood University's choir Aeolians sing. We met my mother there. The songs were awesome! AFter that, we headed to my brother in-law's house to celebrate my sister in-law's 28th birthday. Sunday, was normal chore duties. We headed to the movies to see Megamind. AS always, we were running late due to traffic and had to see it in 3D. I now love 3D! The sound effects were great. Things were zooming by as if it were coming from behind me. I would love to see all these kids movie in 3D, but it's so expensive! $15.00 for an adult ticket and $12.50 for a child's ticket! Then we had popcorn and soda. I see a trip to the movies once every six months. lol The night ended with the kids following directions...brush their teeth and hop in bed! :)

Yes, we're on for our own Thanksgiving dinner! We'll head to my MIL's house after wards. Can't wait to do the arts and crafts with the kids. I'm tempted to print everything now!

Thanksgiving holiday

 

Thanksgiving tradition..... We don't have our Thanksgiving tradition yet. Each year has either been with my mom or Mike's mom. Last year, we decided to stay home and at the very last minute....4pm to be exact, I decided to run out and get a cornish hen and some sides. What a small dinner that was! LOL. I took pictures, but kept it on the phone.
This year, Mike's mom is having dinner at her house. Everyone has to bring a dish. While looking at the Parents website, I saw a Thanksgiving craft for the kids. They could make placemats, name tags, napking holders, etc. I started to get the "I want to cook" feeling. I can do something small and early, then we all head to his mother's house. I'll talk to Mike about and see. Here's the link:

Not the Wii!

Why me?! The Wii is definitely a console to have. I've been playing the Wii Sports game and it's showing me how much I need to exercise. I took the fitness and my age was 68. SMH I have a lot of work to do! This also can be a family thing to do....play and exercise together!

Sunflower seeds!

Sometimes hanging out with your kids, brings back the things you use to love when you were younger. For awhile, I couldn't remember what I liked. It wasn't about me anymore, it became all about the kids. So hanging with Tamya, my love for sunflower seeds are back! LOL Hanging with Mikey, my love for board games are back. I like this thing called "letting your hair down"! lol
